Warm Rift 2024

A 1000mm x 500mm canvas with plaster of paris textures, gesso high build to form some of the more fluid ridges and crackle glaze.

All framed in a black 50mm heavy matt black ash tray frame

Then painted in a blend of mid greys / beiges to consolodate the fluid forms.

The textures then have an array of deep warm browns / blacks with the occasional fine ochre details added to create depth and finess.

A series of white oil pastel “moments” add an element of movement along with white aerosol floated onto water.
